
For centuries the spices of the East have fired the imaginations of explorers, trader and statesmen alike. The spices of India, in particular, have long been prized for the exotic aromas and flavours they impart, and for their healing attributes.
It is these spices that give curries their distinctive and delicious flavour. Because contemporary Indian cooking stems from the many regional traditions that make up India's cultural history, there are several varieties of curry, each with a distinctive bouquet. A number of meats, poultry and vegetables are each blended with a unique combination of spices for a truly original flavour.
Not all curries are alike; neither are all curries "SUICIDE HOT." In fact, many curries are distinctive because of their mildness. However, all curries, whether mild or hot, impart the benefits of the natural antiseptics, preservatives, and vitamins contained in their spices. Curries have long been considered invaluable for their abilities to cleanse and refresh the body.
